New York: Random House, 1961. First Edition. Cloth. Fine/Fine. First Edition Stated, Michener describes his views and reflections as a citizen involved with the 1960 campaign where JFK was elected, 310 pages. Book is Fine (nicest copy that I have ever seen) clear and clean blue cloth boards, Michener facsimile signature on front board, titles gilt on front board and on spine, very clean spine, tight and square, No previous owner bookplate or writing, nice clean light red topstain. Jacket is near Fine, first state jacket with $3.95 price intact and 3/61 date code on front panel. Very clean white paper jacket, little foxing on bottom edge of front panel and light wear to head and heel of spine. Great vintage black and white photo of Michener with Johnny Welsh and Sam Thompson on rear panel. A very clean and most presentable copy. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
