Bisbane, 1926. Foolscap with paper covers (dimensions 34 x 21cm),168pp, 29 (1 - 25. I - IV Riders) folding plates, staplebound. Loosely inserted an advertisement for W.R. Smith & Paterson Ltd, Stationers, Printers, Bookbinders, etc., 286-92 Adelaide St, Brisbane. A tired copy, considerably edgeworn, with first three pages detached but present, small tears to the folds of some plates, with plate II Rider worst affected, with loss to the image at the vertical fold. The first recommendation from this report was that a two deck continuous girder bridge be constructed from the end of Kangaroo Point to Petrie's Bight and that a 150 feet wide shipping canal be cut through Kangaroo Point and be spanned by a singel deck 190 feet span bascule bridge. Brisbane ended up with one of the alternatives - the single deck bridge we now know as Story Bridge.
