Boston: Mrs. Waldron P. Belknap, (1955). 15 pages. 4to. Stiff paper covers; plastic comb binding. Printed on rectos only; three small illustrations. A very good copy.
Compilation of research notes comparing and contrasting English and Colonial American prints and paintings, mostly portraiture. Other miscellaneous notes describe the designs and poses of paintings, bibliographical references and memoranda on the author's research in English museums and libraries the summer before his untimely death. These notes were published posthumously by his mother who carried on with his research.
