Very Good. 2 vols. 8 plates (including both frontises and a facsimile of a Greek inscription), folding map, index, xii, 397, vii, 390p. plus n(2)p. publisher's advertisements at end of each volume. Original reddish brown cloth. 20cm. An attractive set of the first edition with minimal library markings -- an institutional bookplate on front pastedown and a stamp embossed on one leaf (pp. 9/10) in each volume are the only indications that this once belonged to Canada's Fraser Institute.
