Cape Town: Saul Solomon & Co, 1877; 1879. Illustrated by Tables. First edition. 2 volumes. Royal blue blind-stamped cloth, gilt print, 6 double gilt spine bands and title/year, gilt print topboard. Royal 8vo (25cm). pp. xvii, 263, [1]; xiv, 336. Very Good. Spine darkened to navy blue, light cap crushing and minor board nicks, period Astronomical Library bookplates front pastedowns. Several scattered pages have soil. Re-observation of all Lacaille's Stars in "Coelum Australe Stelliferum" (commenced in 1871 for 145¼-155¼ N.P.D.): 135¼-145¼ N.P.D. in 1876, 125¼-135¼ N.P.D. in 1877 followed. Instrumental corrections; separate R.A.; N.P.D.; Star Catalogue for both years. Edward James Stone, William Henry Finlay, George W. H. Maclear, Calcott M. Stevens succeeded by Robert Thos. Pett (1/31/76), Isaac Freeman, observers. Errors for 1871-4, and list of publications 1871-7 (in Year 1875)..
