Map entitled "The Retreat of the British Fifth Army" on front endpapers. 318,2,8(catalogue),pp. Original black cloth under the scarce original dj, which is slightly rubbed and faded on the backstrip, which has 2 very small holes, and slightly damp marked towards lower foredges. Overall a pleasing tight copy. A novel of March 1918, and the final German push of that year to break the stalemate of trench warfare.
