Professional repairs to the corners, and volumes one and two have been rebacked. New spine labekls. Solid hinges and inside, very clean pages with no stains, no foxing. I see browning on one page where it appears a clipping left a slight browning scar. Top edges gilt. "Martineau, political economist, philosopher and journalist, was also a serious traveler.
