Else a near fine book in a fine bright dust jacket with only a faint crease at spine panel and some minor rubbing . Particularly bright copy. London: Philip Allan and Co Ltd, 1928. Hardcover. Good. Dark yellow leather effect boards with a black border and lettering (now very faded) to spine. Boards are slightly marked on front and back. Page edges slightly tanned and marked. Internally clean apart from very occasional fingerprint smudges. Contains previous owner's signature and address on fep. A rare copy of this classic book of ghost stories. Good 1928

Bound in black cloth with titles in gilt on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear save a touch of softness to the spine ends and a tiny bump to the front top tip. Very well-preserved with no toning or foxing. Small booksellers ticket on the rear paste-down. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.00 in the body of the front flap text), has a couple of spots of spoiling and minor edge-wear. Three small tape repairs on the verso that is just visible from the front. Still fairly unobtrusive. A solid, bright example with no chipping or creases and scarce in any condition. A sharp collectable copy of a quite uncommon t a great price.
