Red cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine and front board; black designs, initials and borders on spine and front board. Internal hinges are sound and not split or cracked. 305 pp 12mo. Pemberton (pen name Reuben) was a college educated humorist from Missouri who practiced law, edited a newspaper, and traveled through Europe, took an active part in politics, and was a successful lecturer. This volume contains some of the good things he has written and spoken. A clean very presentable copy.
