Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 229 pages; HC in publisher's navy blue cloth with decorative border top edge of cover and spine brightly in gilt; title lettering at spine vivid and fresh. 1st American edition, single volume. Internals very neat with sharp, black lining endpapers, unmarred. Light damp mottling to cloth along the lower edge of the cover board. Cloth just slightly rubbed through at corner tips. Prior owner name penned neatly to corner of half-title. Solid and bright 1st American edition, issued in 3000 copies. VG ... BAL 10583. .
Synopsis
