Edition limited to 1000 copies, 8vo, pp. ix, [1], 100, [2]; title page printed in red and black, illustrated throughout with type specimens, photographs, and facsimiles; fine in a fine dust jacket. From the library of Kim Merker. This copy with a special presentation card tipped-in at the half-title page, presenting this copy to Kim Merker on the occasion of the March 16, 1994 meeting of the Caxton Club "with special appreciation for your life-long devotion to the book and your important contribution to fine printing from members and guests whose signatures appear below." The flyleaves and endsheets contain about 75 signatures, including those of Bob Karrow, Edward Quattrocchi, Frank Williams, Gwin Kolb, and a host of other eminent and not-so-eminent Caxtonians. The essays are by James M. Wells, John Schappler, Greer Allen, Herbert Pinzke, Carolyn Reading Hammer, Gordon Williams, R. Russell Maylone, and Rhodes Patterson.
