(Cape Town, Longmans, 1953). 4to; original black cloth; pictorial dustwrapper; pp. xii + 100, incl. index; full-colour frontis. and 34 full-colour plates. Edgeworn dustwrapper has section torn from lower panel (with loss); previous owner's name on front pastedown; some foxing to endpapers and prelims. Fair to good condition. "This book is an attempt to make a few of the flowers which may be found in the Colony more readily recognisable both by the visitor to Southern Rhodesia and by Rhodesians themselves. . . . It is hoped that the colour plates will assist not only in identification of particular flowers, but also in revealing something of the beauty that is to be seen in the veld." .
