London: Macmillan and Co, 1883. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo. [9], xii, [1], 2-214, [1], [1] (page of publisher's advertisements) pp. Green publisher's cloth with a decoration in gilt and triple gilt borders on each board, gilt lettering and rules on the spine; all edges decoratively stained yellow. Navy coated endpapers and pastedowns. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and several full-page and in-text engravings: 65 illustrations by Arthur B. Frost and nine by Henry Holiday. Price of seven shillings on the title page. Williams 44. A collection of Carroll's poems including The Hunting of the Snark and Phantasmagoria, with others. The rear hinge very neatly repaired, about three small gatherings starting from the gutter but still securely attached.
