Bound simply in burgundy buckram cloth covers, sharp and distinct lettering to spine. Illustrated endpapers (map). A fine and engaging story of Senator Williamson S. Oldham's trip to Texas after the adjournment of the last Confederate Congress in 1865. He traveled to Navasota, Texas, and continued on to Mexico where he wrote his memoirs, returning to Texas only in 1866. From the personal library of the (now deceased) owner of California Collectible Books (Lloyd Mason), until recently located in Martinez, California.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
