Inscribed & SIGNED (1st name only) Stephen / Bennington/ 17 July '84"" on half-title page. Stated First Edition, 1st printing- no note of further ones; year 1983 also on title page. INCLUDES: 3 short one page letters- nothing earthshaking- from author (2 on Bennington College letterhead), xerox of typed poem w/ 1 line edited in ink & Knopf promo. flyer w/ reviews of book- all laid-in, as found. DJ is glossy & bright w/ light rubbing, trace of toning, couple sm. closed tears (1/4"" & 1/8""). NO frays or scuffs. Gray cloth binding is tight, bright, clean & square; narrow sun fade along top & bottom edges of covers. NO bumps or scuffs. All silver spine lettering crisp & intact. Text & endpapers tight, bright, clean, UNmarked. NO remainder mark, owner names, etc.; NOT ex library. Interesting grouping & handsome, well preserved copy- both DJ & book display well.
