About This Item
Ace Books, 1968. Very Good. A-19 (020-01019-075 on spine), 75c cover price, 256pp. First Edition, paperback original. From the estate of Andrew J. Offutt, with his initials "Ao" on the first page in holograph pencil, brief notations (3pp) in holograph ink, and signed by Margroff on the front cover verso in holograph ink: "For my friend Andrew Offutt / compliments of 1/2 an author / Robert E. Margroff." Offutt was an avid science fiction author noted for "Conan"-themed fantasies, debuted as a published writer in 1951, and wrote 100s of erotic novels pseudonymously as John Cleve, Turk Winter, John Denis, Jeff Morehead, Opal Andrews, among others. The "Spaceways" series is perhaps his ultimate collaboration between science fiction and erotica. Most institutions without personal material. Very Good, lean, brief insect chew to front fore-edge, spine crease, foxing, rubbing.
