About This Item
London, Stephen Swift and Co. Ltd., 1912. . First edition, first impression; 8vo; publisher's streaky grey cloth, titles to upper board gilt, all edges untrimmed, minor spotting to fore edge and endleaves, but an unusually nice copy.
The first issue in the cloth binding and with the ads at the rear extant. Pound tore out these advert in copies he handled after Swift went bust without having paid him his royalties. The book was finally remaindered in decorated wrappers. This first issue, complete with the ads is very uncommon.
