About This Item

[Paris]: Editions Mornay, 1923. Limited edition, inscribed by the author on the front blank in pen and bound in 3/4 brown morocco and pastepaper boards, spine paneled, title gilt, top edge gilt, original covers bound in, fine. Illustrated with frontispiece woodcut in black and green by Gus Bofa (1885-1968) plus 12 woodcuts hors-texte and 34 in-texte. Printed on the presses of l'Imprimerie de Vaugirard, Paris. Riquet a la houppe was a character in one of the fairy tales of Charles Perrault.
