Blue coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. "The seventy years of social and economic development covered in this book are crucial for an understanding of the present problems and position not only of Britain, but of all societies experiencing or about to experience a similar change."  From the front fold over panel blurb. Bumping to the backstrip edges and book corners. There is flecking to the top book edges, lower edge of the front panel and a little on the rear book panel. Browning and foxing of the textblock edges. Offset tanning, browning and foxing of the endpapers and a little age toning of the internal text. Previous owners name to the top edge of the free front and paper. Creasing to the dustwrapper edges and some chipping to the backstrip edges and dustwrapper corners. Rubbing, handling marks and stains to the dustwrapper, staining particularly noticeable to the backstrip region on the verso of the dustwrapper. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. (8), IX-XIV, (2), 3-471, (3) pages,. Dust Jacket price-clipped.
