The Rittenhouse Journal of the Scientific Enterprise was a scholarly journal focused on increasing and distributing knowledge about scientific instruments made and/or sold in the US and the Americas. Throughout its 23 years of publication (and a total of 70 issues), the journal covered areas including mathematical, optical and philosophical instruments, chemical, physical and electrical apparatus, sundials and globes; and time periods from the 17th to the mid-20th century. Authors of the various articles in the journal are well known scholars from major institutions, collectors, and dealers in the field of scientific instruments.
