London: Cassell and Company, c1889. Leather. Good Only. 13" by 10". Not Stated. A beautifully illustrated late Victorian guide to the rivers of the British isles. Special Edition. Featuring an illustrated frontispiece. Contains numerous illustrated plates and illustrations in the text. Contains: the Highland Dee, the Tay, the Forth, the Tweed, the Coquet, the Tyne, the Wear, the Tees, the Humber, rivers of the Wash, rivers of East Anglia. In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, rubbed. Some water damage to the boards which has caused the cloth to lift at the corners. Boards held by the cords only. Internally, generally firmly bound although slightly strained in places. Very clean throughout. Good Only
