Copyright is 1925; 329 pages, plus ads; Some moisture stains and a little discoloration to red cloth over spine and rear cover; Title lettering on spine is affected, though remains legible; Small tear in cloth at front joint about half an inch from foot; Volume remains tight and contents are very clean and free of any markings, book plates, etc.

Photographic dustjacket over red cloth-covered boards with black lettering. Jacket chipped at corners and spine ends, with a few small tears and a couple scuffs to face. Spine ends nudged with a small tear at head, but boards are clean and square with solid lettering. Half inch tear between endpapers at bottom front hinge, but no splits. Corbett's death date noted in pencil under frontis, else pages unmarked. Binding is sound.

Front hinge neatly restored, else fine in very good or better dustwrapper with modest chips at the spine ends, and a short split at the front flap fold. Inscribed by the author and boxing champion: "To my friend Dennis J. Crown with best regards, Sincerely Jas. J. Corbett. May 15/29." We've had the book signed, and we've had it in jacket, but never both, and very scarce thus.
