About This Item

Golf Canada, 2021. NEW and unread in a NEW, near PERFECT dust jacket. The jacket has only a tiny bit of very mild shelfwear (like you sometimes find in any new book store). NO chips, tears, creases or fading. Sharp corners. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked - obviously never read. Photo illustrated, some in beautiful full color. Appendices. Bibliography. Index. Golf writer Lorne Rubenstein supplied the foreword to the book where he wrote, "Fifty years have come and gone, but I remember and can see Cowan setting up on the tee, taking very little time, and drilling his drive down the fairway. The golf ball curved a lot more in those days, but it curved only when Cowan wanted it to. He could hit any shot he wanted to, when he wanted to, and had proven himself one of the finest amateurs in the game. He was a world-class golfer." From the Golf Canada website: "Gary Cowan is one of the most successful and revered amateur golfers of the past century. An honoured member of the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, he chose to write a memoir with journalist David McPherson about his life in golf in his new book From Rockway to Augusta.". First Edition. Hardcover. New condition/New dust jacket. 8vo. xii, 276pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

About About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
