London, 1908. Hard Cover. (London & New York: Frederick Warne & Co 1908). First Edition Second Impression with 1908 on the title page but the words "all rights reserved" omitted from the title page (Linder 427; Quinby 15). Publisher's original red cloth, titles to spine in blue, titles to front cover in blue and gilt, pictorial label to front cover, bevelled edges, illustrated colour-decorated end-papers. Frontispiece and seventeen full page colour illustrations (as called for). A former owner's name and date (1913) on the half-title, minor foxing to the text in places, a lightly faded spine and some soling to the back board. A VG copy. No D/W.
