Small quarto. Original red cloth, spine lettered in blue, front cover lettered in blue and gilt, front cover with pictorial label, illustrated endpapers. With the printed glassine jacket. Housed in a custom flat-back red folding box. Frontispiece, 17 colour plates, outline illustrations to text by the author. Gift inscription to half-title. Some light foxing to edges of text block; an exceptional copy with the superb jacket. Linder, p. 427; Quinby 15.
