About This Item

N.p., 1926. First edition. 8vo, 22.5 x 15cm, [2], 38pp. Brown wrappers, saddle stitched, in very good condition with light soiling and toning and wrinkling to edges. First edition of this pamphlet by the Wyoming newspaper man and state politician, documenting Roosevelt's visits with appreciations and reminiscences from several individuals such as Robert Carey, Governor Fenimore Chatterton, and Senator Francis E. Warren. Contains wonderful photographs of various horseback journeys from city to city, hunting trips, a presentation of spurs from Senator Warren to the president, and others.

The pamphlet was immensely popular upon its release leading to a revision and expansion in 1927 and publication of the second edition. Uncommon institutionally and in the trade.
Herd 674 (citing second edition).
