Vintage paperback, Gold Medal k1292; MacDonald's story of a man on the run after assaulting a crime boss; cover art by Robert McGinnis; Paperback Original, True First Edition, First Printing; text is clean, tight, square, slightly age-tanned; bottom of spine bumped; pictorial wrappers cut very slightly wrong, leaving sliver of white across top edges; small abrasion in lower left corner of front cover and end of spine; indentation on spine with creasing on back cover; other surface and edgewear minor; in spite of damage, not a bad-looking copy of a hard-to-find book.
