Peter Davies, London, 1930. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First edition thus, limited to 1,000 numbered sets, this example unnumbered. Large 8vo. 1064pp (over all three volumes). Quarter cloth with marbled paper sides, lettered and ruled in gold at the spines. Fore- and bottom edges untrimmed. With endpaper maps by A.E.Taylor, three different title page decorations and thirty-two tailpiece drawings by John Nash. Spine ends and corner tips a little rubbed. A hint of spotting to the free endpapers and to several subsequent blank leaves. Former owner blind stamp to a blank preliminary of each volume. A lovely crisp set of Cobbett's most celebrated work, originally published in two volumes in 1830. No dust wrappers called for, but lacking the slipcase. [A heavy set, overseas sales will incur an additional postage fee]..
