San Francisco: Chronicle Books, 2000. First edition. Hardcover. Good +/good +. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, "For Shelley Be Inspired! Gretta Margaretta K Mitchell." Mitchell is a renowned writer and photogrpher in her own right. Heavy grayish tan cloth hardcover, square quarto, in dustjacket. A good+ copy in like dustjacket. Minor forward cock to the binding - otherwise, clean and bright in a solid binding and hinges. Unclipped jacket is also bright, but with a split at the top of the front fold and some scuffing ot the panels. 159 pp., indexed, black and white photos and illustrations throughout. Bernhard was renowned for her photography, engaging with other west coast artists like Ansel Adams and Imogen Cunningham.
