NY: Hatch Litho Co, 1882. Original edition. Good. Trade card, 5.5" x 3.75". On the front is a color litho of the Steamship Columbia heading into Rockaway Beach. The card shows a few signs of age, yet is well-preserved. The verso of this card contains a timetable of "Daily Ocean Excursions to Rockaway Beach by the New Palatial Steamers Grand Republic and Columbia...Only Boats permitted to land at Wharf of New Colossal Hotel [dockage at Jewel's Wharf, Brooklyn]....Steamboat Americus also runs in this line...." Featured on board the steamers were the Grand Republic Brass & String Band and Deverell's 47th Regiment Band, Cornet Soloist, Xylophone, &c. Round-trip fare was one dollar.
