Very Good+ in Good+ dust jacket; Hardcover; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; Cupples & Leon Format 1: early 1940's, thick red cover, glossy frontis, good paper, cartoon-like dust jacket. Copyright date 1943, printing unknown, as no other titles listed, but early given the format. Later Format II dust jacket with unique symbol on spine; lists twelve titles. Clean cover, firmly bound, sharp corners; showing moderate wear to spine ends. Pages very clean, bright, even crisp .No names or markings. Tiny bookstore label (called a stamp) from The Little Acorn Bookshop, Pawtucket, RI, at bottom of fep. Green pictorial jacket, price 100-160 on flap; Nicely preserved for this fragile uncoated paper jacket. A few shallow chips and three short tears; light soil/smudging on back panel. Buy War Bonds promotional on back. Please note: This appears to be an early printing of thei book with a second format dustjacket added, possibly sold as part of a set; though reference information on the jacket is scarce.
