Woodstock, NY: The Maverick Press, 1927.. 1927.. Good. - Octavo, softcover bound in dark green wraps with a woodcut illustration on the front cover. Though intact, the soiled covers are detached from the text block. The edges of the covers are chipped and creased. 29 pages. There is a light stain to the bottom of the fore-edge & the bottom corner of the rear endpaper. The top page corners are lightly creased & there is a light indentation in the top margin of the pages in the second half of the book. Good. <p>First edition.<p>Rex [also known as Reginald] Hunter, who was born in New Zealand, was a poet, playwright and journalist. He came to the United States and was a friend and neighbor of John Cowper Powys in New York. He returned to New Zealand in 1949.<p>RARE in this first Edition. The book was later reprinted in 1981 in a limited edition.
