Golfer Horace Hutchinson recounts his voyage to the Straits of Belle Isle on the Sunbeam Amateur golfer Horace Hutchinson recounts his voyage from Invergordon, Scotland to the straits of Belle Isle on the yacht 'Sunbeam'. A scarce work and a presentation copy, with fourteen illustrations, collated and complete. As well as playing golf in the late 19th century, Hutchinson was also a prolific writer and published several volumes on golf and sport. 'Presentation copy' blind stamped to title page. Bookplate of 'C. & L. Banbury' to the front pastedown. Sticker from 'Edward Baker's' booksellers in Birmingham to the front pastedown. In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards with a little wear towards the extremities. A little bumped to the head and tail of the spine, which is discoloured. Front hinge starting, but firm. Some offsetting to front and rear endpapers. Internally, generally firmly bound. Light scattered spotting throughout, a little worse near the plates. Good
