Bound in publisher's original dark blue cloth stamped in silver and green, top edge gilt. xvi, 294 pp. Near Fine with slight toning at spine, corners softened and fore edge of front board bumped edge. Toning to rear end sheet from clipping formerly laid-in. A sailing memoir about the Slocum's single-handed global circumnavigation aboard the sloop Spray. The author was the first person to sail around the world alone. The book was an immediate success and highly influential in inspiring later travelers.
