NY: Covici Friede Inc.. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1936. First Edition. Hardcover. Original brown cloth spine with gilt-decorated boards. Limited edition #93 of 199 numbered copies signed by Steinbeck to the colophon. Printed by S. A. Jacobs at the Golden Eagle Press in Mount Vernon, NY. Red lettering to spine is partially rubbed away and board edges are rubbed through, with minor loss to points; there is a scratch to front board. The interior has scattered foxing and some glue darkening, and the ffep has been neatly torn away. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 25 pages; Signed by Author .
