About This Item
Methuen of Australia, Sydney, 1980. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. Illustrator: Various. 128 pages, text illustrated with contemporary, and modern photography, facsimiles, and a map. Illustrated dust jacket has no damage. Trace of foxing to the top edge of the textblock, and on the end pages at the front, there is an amber mark which to my mind looks like the mortal remains of a rubber band accidentally left in the book to deteriorate. There is no other damage to describe. Keith Dunstan takes a wry look at the Kelly legend, and what it has meant for Australian commerce. In the process, he examines why we regard an Irish horse thief and murderer as an unofficial national hero. -- front fold over blurb Size: Quarto -- up to 12 " Tall.
