Square and firmly bound with a gilt top edge, silk endpapers with a small chip to the front endpaper, label inside the front board, Royal Yacht Squadron label on the verso of the front endpaper, additional inscription on one of the front flyleaves. Flaubert's best-selling historical fiction about the theft of a sacred veil after the First Punic War.
