Light edge wear and light soiling to the dj. Award sticker on the front panel, for the book winning the Marguerite Schumann award for Literature. The dj is now protected in a mylar sleeve. A Very Good copy in Very Good dust jacket. They called her, "Mother Cotten", and was a promoter of the womens movement in the last quarter of the 19th century. Author of THE WHITE DOE, written in honor of the first English child born in North America.
