Quarto. 452 pp. plus 12 full page color plates, textual illustrations and numerous photographic illustrations. Publisher's green cloth with gilt spine lettering, front cover with a gilt marlin, all edges gilt, original slipcase. Presentation on front endpaper (from the Headmaster and the Faculty, Roxbury Memorial High School (Boys), June 14, 1945). Spine a bit dulled but a very clean and attractive copy in the original slipcase.
