New York University Press, 1971. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR SIMON TREFMAN in pencil on the front free endpaper. A solid copy to boot of the 1971 1st edition. Clean and Near Fine in a crisp, VG dustjacket, with minor scuffing and rubbing to the panels and several very small closed tears along their edges. A number of full-page illustrations (mostly capturing Foote in performance) complementing the scholarly text.
