A signed, limited edition of Elbert Hubbard's brief biography of England's Samuel Johnson, one in the series "Little Journeys to the Homes of English Authors" produced at the Roycrofter's artisan cooperative in East Aurora, New York. Number 55 in a limited run of 925 copies, and signed by Elbert Hubbard on limitation page. With frontis portrait of Samuel Johnson and hand-illumined decorations at title page and to chapter heads. --- Bound in brown yapped flexible suede covers with gilt-stamped cover titling, brown silk endpapers. --- The suede is showing its age and is very fragile and prone to disintegration, else a complete, intact copy. Inked gift inscription dated Dec 25/1900 to front free endpaper. ; Small Octavo - 7-1/2 to 8 in. tall; (10), 119-144 pages; Signed by Author .
