Urbana: University of Illinois Press; (1976). First Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Near fine in a very good- dust jacket. Just minor handling wear to the book. The jacket has small tears and chips at edges, and a chip about 1" x 3" at the bottom left corner of the rear panel (not affecting any lettering). Inscribed and dated 5/15/76 by the author on the front endpaper, with "#936" written at bottom of front endpaper. This copy is also signed on the front endpaper by Johnny Lee Wills, Bob's brother and long-time member of the Texas Playboys. Includes many photographs, discography and filmusicography by Bob Pinson, essay on sources, and an index; 395 pages. Also laid in are three photos of Jonnie Lee Wills. The life of the Kings of Western Swing music, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.
