This book is in good plus condition. Moderate bumping to both ends of spine. Minor sunning to both ends of spine and top edge of both boards. Minor staining and scuffing to all edges of textblock. Previous owner signature on the back of front endpaper. Interior pages are clean and bright. Dust jacket is in good minus condition. Moderate chipping and bumping to both ends of spine. Moderate scuffing and staining to entire jacket.
The novel provided the basis for the films The Story of Temple Drake (1933) and Sanctuary (1961). It also inspired the novel No Orchids for Miss Blandish as well as the film of the same title and The Grissom Gang, which derived from No Orchids for Miss Blandish. The story of the novel can also be found in the 2007 film Cargo 200.
