Simply but handsomely bound in quarter dark red leather, red cloth boards, raised bands on spine in compartments gilt, titling to spine gilt, original wrappers with upper illustrated by Tchekhonine printed in colour bound in. 38 pp. text + 192 illustrative plates printed in black-and-white. Wrappers slightly stained, with repair at extreme inner margin. Uniform light internal toning to the pages; overall, a nice copy. First Edition. OCLC 250399471.

Each portfolio has a 12 page introduction and 40 bw plates. Plates have occasional chips or tears, otherwise, clean. Ribbon ties intact. Remains a nice set and a wonderful tour of Andrea Palladio's design's for the villas of the Venice elites.
