At some time the book has been rebacked, retaining most of the original spine, raised bands, leather label gilt crest on top board '' The Royal Engineering College '', full marble edges and endpapers. Calf rubbed, scuffed, faded. Binding in good clean firm condition. Internally, prize bookplate dated 1879 on fixed endpaper, spotting to plates. Pages and plates in good condition. A good solid copy. . First Edition. Full Calf. Near Very Good. 8vo.
