About This Item
New York: Crown Publishers, 1965. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good. 8vo, purple cloth with silver lettering on spine, Mylar-protected purple dust jacket (unclipped), 312 pages. An Uncommon title! Not my idea of a "Saint," but then neither was Sartre's view of "Saint Genet." Perhaps too much vin ordinaire while writing? Or is there a less bibulous and in any way more positive view of the sadistic Marquis? The cloth and textblock are solid, internally clean and bright, and the rare dust jacket is present though showing wear.
