Art Nouveau pictorial boards in gilt, green and black are in very good condition as are the Art Deco pictorial end papers. Slight internal soiling, cloth spine slightly dislodged at the top, over all very good condition. The internal Deco illustrations, some of which are humorous, retain their vibrant colors.
Craddock tended bar in hotels in the US and London, leaving America for London during Prohibition. In 1920 he worked at the American Bar at London's Savoy Hotel and there established his long lasting reputation as expert cocktail maker and creator. He offers advice for drinking a Cocktail on page 9. "Quickly...while it is laughing at you!" Autograph
