Fifth Edition. London: Harris and Son, 1826 Original red calf backed letter-press boards, Fcap.8vo. iv,127pp. folding engraved map as frontispiece and 84 engravings on plates. The text and illustrations decribe all known portions of Africa and are taken from authentic earlier accounts, Dapper, etc. The Winterton copy with his bookplate, sections slightly loose, spine rubbed at head and tail, lacking front free endpaper, a nice copy in the publisher's calf backed boards. We have been selling antiquarian books on Africa, Oceania, archaeology, anthropology, travel and the ancient world for over forty years. All our books are carefully catalogued and they are in excellent condition unless stated in the description. All shipments are fully insured at our expense.
