Two quarto volumes in one (9 7/8 x 8 3/8 inches; 251 x 211 mm). [2], iv, 535, 556-650; [2], 651-816, [2], 817-830, [2, blank] pp. Pages continuously numbered through both volumes. Separate title-page for each volume. Text in Greek, title-pages in Latin.

Full modern brown morocco. Spine with dark brown morocco spine label, lettered in gilt. All edges dyed red. Title-page of first volumes is laid down. Title-page with early ownership stamp which reads "Herbert B. Hoffleit University of Los Angeles at California." Overall a very good copy.

Hoffleit (1905-1981) was a professor of the Classics at UCLA starting in 1927.
