About This Item
Hutchinson, 1964. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First English translation of the author's 1933 novel. Very good plus with light foxing to top page edges and endpapers, and neat name written at top of flyleaf. Otherwise clean and tight. In a very good dust jacket (price intact) with minor wear at spine ends and corners, and slight soiling. Myrivilis was one of the most prominent Greek writers of the 1930s to 1950s, and was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature three times in the early 1960s. Copies of his novels in English are extremely scarce.
